First time I have ever used Bodyshop on…

First time I have ever used Bodyshop on line and the process was seamless and speedy. Delivery arrived today and really surprised that the packaging can be used as a gift box. What a fab idea. Well done Bodyshop, would be great if others thought a bit more about reusable packaging.

Vitamin C Moisturiser - Such a good addition to my skin care products!

I bought Body shop's Vitamin C Glow boosting Moisturiser and I'm very happy with the purchase. I use it on my face whenever I feel like my skin is looking a bit dull or tired. The moisturiser gives it a nice glow, with a fresh, dewy look. In the winter months I have noted that I need to also use a bit of natural oil before applying the Vitamin C Moisturiser, as I feel that my skin needs just that little bit more moisture than the product provides. All in all I think it's a worth while purchase and definitely one I plan on always having in my skin care cupboard.

Customer service is awful

I received a package which was in a wet box and smelled of a unpleasant substance! I rung body shop it was a long call wait after 35 minutes i emailed them instead I sent photos of the product etc and advised them of the issue Daily a different person was emailing me from body shop asking for photos and info I have already provided It took 5 people to resolve my issue Because after the 4th person emailed me for the same info I picked up the phone and asked a person how difficult is it to collect this smelly package and send me another one fresh off the shelf as it’s a gift for someone and it’s in a material pouch, I don’t want this one. He then arranged a collection n replacement. Sooooo tiring

Love products

Love products, love brand, can't wait to get back into store. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I have many products bought over the years (that work), really effective and helpful service.

Issue has been resolved

I've been using Body Shop products for years now and never had any problem with them, until now. First of all their online site has changed for the worst. It jumps all over the place and when you search for something lots of other things come up. I was going to buy the 250mls of strawberry shower gel but they've increased the price from £5.50 to £6.50. I decided to get the 750mls bottle as it worked out the most cost effective. I used it the other night and it doesn't smell of strawberry at all, not one single bit. There's a horrible chemical smell to it and I can't use it. I had noticed the same a couple of months ago when I bought a satsuma body butter but thought maybe it was just a bad batch. I now think they've cut down on their ingredients to save money. I understand that they cant offer promotions etc during covid times but putting prices up that much AND cutting down on quality just isn't good enough. A lot of people have lost their jobs the last few months and can't afford these prices. The quality of their products has went right downhill and they'll lose all their loyal customers. I've now got a bottle of shower gel that cost £15 and can't use because the smell is horrible***update*** I contacted the Body Shop and they have refunded money. I have to send back the shower gel so that they can look at the issue, but its a freepost address so won't cost me anything. Happy that this has been resolved so quickly

complicated to make an order…

I like many of the Body shop products but ordering online has always been a slightly complicated affair. Not very straightforward and not very user friendly. If you want to login in you have to scroll down past New member options. If you want to use reward points you l have to go to the point of paying before you get any option to use them and I'm always thinking I will go past the point of using them and pay full price. Why can't they put using 'Reward points' option at the same point as 'How to pay' option?? Not very Member user friendly! I have actually given up on my order many times.

Bad online shopping experience

Wished I came to this site first before purchasing it online. Bought shower gel and hair care last week (10th January) and the parcel hasn't even been shipped. It is quite frustrating considering the items you will buy from them are mostly utility items that are used right after the purchase (Like I buy on the 10th because I expect my parcel would be delivered 2 or 3 days after which my current shower gel would be enough. If I buy a new shower gel from another store, it would be a waste since I have bought from body shop and just waiting for arrival)

Never been so disappointed in my life

Never been so disappointed in my life. Placed and order that never came after so many weeks and all they could say was they will proceed a refund after several days of trying to reach the customer service and also trying to reach them through live chat. These systems don’t work. Never buy anything online from the body shop

Don’t use web chat, phone…

I ordered some products and a free gift. The latter never arrived I went on web chat and they were rude and unhelpful. I terminated after an hour. The conversation would not download. I found a phone number and was on holdfor32 minutes. The operator told me they knew all about the problem!!Very offhand. Laughed when I asked for compensation Will never use again

How can this company claim to be socially aware?

Like some of the reviewers below, I used to be a loyal customer from when The Body Shop started in the UK. And yes, the body butter is still good (despite the price hikes that are doubtless not passed on to the raw material growers) but the customer service is ... well, none existent. They either fob you off or don't even reply. Now I know this is a small thing, but what has really peeved me, though, was that I've been assigned a gender - and can't change it. Not only is it actually incorrect, but I just can't believe that a company in the twenty-first century, that claims to be socially aware, is as rubbish as to assign genders to customers - and use that to assign a title (eg Mrs/Mr) for shipping. There is NO WAY to change this on their account section of their website, nor do they care when you query it. They claimed it was a computer glitch but its still there - and they ignored my follow up email. No one should be assigned a gender - or anything else - in this day and age. I'm taking my custom elsewhere - the products aren't that good as to merit backward, inappropriate assumptions.

Risky ordering from here

Ordered for the first time, hoping to get some stocking fillers for my daughter. Parcel arrived and it had been opened and resealed with brown tape. Two of my ordered products were missing and had been replaced with an AVON shampoo! They said the box must have been hit by a heavier parcel (apparently this has happened in the past) and the driver had just pushed loose items into the box.Contacted customer service via phone and got a refund. I'd also emailed and received a very unprofessional response "This won't happen again I reckon" was one of the best bits!Emailed again to complain about rubbish response and offered £5 credit onto their loyalty card scheme. I'd also received an email from the body shop asking me to review my purchase which I did. I was emailed again saying that my review would not be published as it didn't fit their guidelines! They mean they won't publish it because it wasn't a good review. Will not be ordering again from them.
